#Ad Prosecco tasting lunch at Bottega Birmingham
Bottega is one of our new favourite places to hang out when we have some baby free time.
We love the canalside location, it's slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Broad Street, without being too far, and the food never disappoints.
That's before mentioning how good Bottega prosecco is!
On Saturday, Dean and I went to their first prosecco tasting lunch with
and we had a great time!
It had been a while since we'd had a date away from Teddy so it was some precious time to reconnect as a couple and have some fun.
As soon as we arrived, we were handed a limoncello and prosecco cocktail.
Now, I'm not a big fan of limoncello but this was so fresh and summery, and we all need a bit more sun in our lives at the moment with this weather!
It definitely went down well!
We were then taken to the back of the restaurant where we were sat around a large dinner table.
It felt like we were at a family meal, really homely and easy to chat and get to know the others in the group.
Over the next few hours, we were presented with 6 different Bottega proseccos to taste. I say taste.... each one was a very generous, full serving! And I didn't meet a fizz I didn't like.
Tony & Nico, the sommeliers from The Wine Events Company, talked us through the origins, the ingredients, the process of each glass of prosecco, the group getting more rowdy with each sip.....
After the first few proseccos, it was time for some food.
Dean and I have dined at Bottega a few times and are huge fans of the Italian menu.
I'm always raving about the pizza! Have you tried it? You should!
Saturday's food was up to the usual good standards.
Dean had lemon chicken and I risotto, then for dessert we both had the apple strudel. I've since been craving more risotto! It was so good!
After lunch, it was back to the tasting session.
I have to say, I wasn't expecting to drink so much alcohol but it was all delicious and we had the best afternoon. Evelyn, Bottega's Manager, is such a friendly, welcoming host. Tony & Nico were lovely and really knowledgable. Every one got such in and involved!
It was such a success that Bottega is hosting another prosecco tasting event on 26th October. Tickets are £35 per person which includes a cocktail on arrival, 6 proseccos and a two course lunch, which, I think you'll agree, is a bargain!!
Bottega also have some other amazing looking events coming up. You can find details of them all here. Hopefully Dean and I will see you at some of them!!
If you can't get to any events, but want to dine at Bottega, you can get 10% off your bill just by mentioning Not Another Mum Group.
Let us know what you think of the food and fizz. It's our favourite!
Drink responsibly guys!
