#Ad Zumbini's class review
Updated: Aug 13, 2019
Ted and I were invited to give Zumbini's a go this week by Emma at Dance Fitness Solihull . Zumbini combines music, dance and educational activities for a session of bonding, learning and fun. And we certainly had fun!
Before we'd even sang the welcome song, Teddy had eaten his name badge!
We danced, sang, made silly noises and got on a train to the seaside! Ted was particularly fond of the pizza song.
What I liked about the class was that the music used wasn't your usual nursery rhymes, which can get a bit repetitive when you go to so many baby classes!!
Because the class is inspired by the Zumba craze, all of the music Emma used was international. Teddy approved as he bounced about to each song, giving me a serious arm workout.
We used multi coloured scarves for some sensory play. Teddy played peek a boo with them for a while and had a chew of them here and there. We have some similar scarves at home which are a firm favourite in our sensory teepee.
It was clear that Emma enjoyed leading the classes as much as the group enjoyed being there, really engaging with all the children. The song props were great too. Ted loved the little birds; Woody and Pecker.
The group had a mix of ages but all the children seemed to be having the best time. Especially when the instruments came out at the end. We commandeered the big drum as Ted loves making noise. He was also a fan of the tambourines and maracas.
Ted even started sitting up for long periods of time during the class too!
I was one proud Mama!!
The classes are every Monday at 10am at Shelly Farm Community Centre.
Classes run in termly blocks, but you can to join on a weekly basis to try the class out. Discounted block bookings will be available the following term.
